Abigail Bartell | Gilmore Gallery | July and August

Abigail Bartell is a native Vermonter who lives and works
in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. Her work is inspired
by color, everyday life, gardening, food, and the world
around her. She is especially intrigued by food and fish.
Abigail works in various media, including watercolor,
gouache, acrylic, and collage. Abigail received her BA in
Art Education from Johnson State College (now Northern
Vermont University) and her MA in Art and Design
Education from Vermont College of Fine Arts. In addition
to making art daily, she has taught visual art to middle and
high school students in Danville, Vermont, for the past 17
years.
Abigail’s style combines mixed media painting with a deep appreciation of the
whimsical, humorous, and quirky. Abigail Bartell Art offers original art, prints,
one-of-a-kind slow-batch bike tube jewelry, hand-painted hats, and commission work,
including personalized location and interest “maps.”
Abigail is a long-time member of several professional art education associations, is the
Membership Director of 802 Arts House, and is the current Program Director of The
Vermont Watercolor Society.
