Composting with Jane Woodhouse

Composting is about recycling organic material back to the soil in a usable form. It’s also about reawakening our awareness of the value of healthy soil in the food web. Composting is practical, convenient and inexpensive. Learn more about composting in your backyard from Jane. She will share tips and tricks she learned during the Master Composter’s course from UVM extension. to make composting possible, even if you are concerned about the smell attracting bears and other critters or iff you think your household is too small to make it worthwhile. Jane will also talk about the possibility of a Community Compost site at the Transfer Station.

Contact Jane if you would like some microbial material to get things inoculated.

Bring a lunch to enjoy during the talk.
